The naturi have broken free of their chains after eons in exile. Now they roam the earth bent on revenge. The duty of Mira, the fire starter, is to protect the nightwalker race though she might not survive. The war of extermination has begun on Mira's turf. The human race isn't aware yet of their doom.

The only hope is for Mira to form an alliance with the naturi that want peace. To do that Nyx , sister of the insane queen, must throw her loyalty to peace and form alliances to get the needed army while her life is in danger. But the needed allies must be taken on faith as everyone has a history, of war with the others.

This is one of the best I've read in the Genre. Characters you care about are well drawn and the action holds you in thrall. I couldn't put it down till the last period. This is a keeper! Enjoy. ~~ Pam Allan
