The Vampire Files Volume Four
by P.N . Elrod
Ace, $16.00, 536 pp
Release Date: September 6, 2011

This volume is two novels, Lady Crymsyn and Cold Streets.

Lady Crymsyn is set in 1937 Chicago when the mob had its fingers in most pies. Jack Flemming, Vampire PI, has invested much of his money in a night club, Lady Crymsyn. A few weeks before the grand opening, a woman is found cemented, ala Edgar Allan Poe, in the basement. With police slowing down the remodeling and escalating violence Jack must solve the mystery and dispense justice before he and his nightclub become victims.

Cold Streets has Escott and Fleming trying to deal with a kidnapper who kills, and the New York mob trying to take over Gordy's territory all of which leaves Fleming dealing with those who want to put him truly dead

P.N. Elrod's vampire novels are full of mystery, double cross, action and FUN. You can't put them down, Set in the 1930s Chicago the dialog is snappy, surrounded by characters you like and action to rivet you. If you like Vampires with character, you need to collect these. ~~ Pam Allan
