Blood Kin
by M.J. Scott
Roc, $7.99, 324pp
Release Date: June 5, 2012

Ms. Scott is the author of Shadow Kin.

Imagine a city where four races live under a brokered peace...a peace that is faltering by the minute.

Holly Evendale is a spy and a thief, the only employment available to a half-fae daughter. Abandoned by her father she does have a bit of his magic. When she stumbles across a Templar knight in her part of the city, trust is not the first word to come to mind. Treachery and violence threaten the remaining peace and trusting each other may the only way but it sure isn't easy.

What we have is a paranormal romance with lots of action and intrigue. The world is well-fleshed and believable, the characters intriguing (no pun intended) and the action fast. The half-light world is a place to challenge the reader, a series to be collected. Enjoy. ~~ Pam Allan
