Moving to Appleton was bad enough as far as Kate and Andy Lawrence are concerned; but their parents like the village that seems stuck in a time warp. Then on the night before Halloween their parents take them to the apple orchard that used to belong to a witch for a haunted hayride and everything goes wrong. The witch’s curse means every kid who takes a bite of an apple turns into a zombie and even worse, the adults, including their parents, are turning into applehead dolls after drinking cider spiked with a potion. Time is running out as Katie and Andy try to save their parents and the others.
