Doubletake
by Rob Thurman
Roc, $7.99, 339 pp
Release Date: March 6, 2012

Doubletake is a continuation of the Cal Leandros series.

Families can be a nightmare and if any anyone knows that, Cal Leandros does. But this time it is half-brother Niko whose father needs a favor. If Niko refuses, it may doom the entire city.

A dangerous reunion of the Puck race is in play involving Robin Goodfellow and a lottery no puck wants to win.

As Cal tries to save Niko and Robin from paying the price for their kin, he gets a reminder of his past and why blood is thicker than water and more fun to spill.

This is a typical Thurman roller coaster ride. Lots of action, supernatural and regular, told in one of the best sardonic voice in urban fantasy. Enjoy as you add it to your collection. ~~ Pam Allan
