Lord of Souls: an Elder Scrolls Novel
by Greg Keyes
Del Rey, $15.00, 316pp
Release Date: October 11, 2011

Keyes is a prolific author of both original and video-game tie-in novels.

A great evil grows in the empire and threatens the survival of the world. A sinister floating city, and an army of undead have laid waste to much of the world. Now, the emperor's son, Attrebus Mede and a group of mages, thieves, and warriors try to save the remainder; but are they strong enough to defeat the ancient evil that has awoken beneath Tamriel?

Definitely an excellent game tie-in but stands alone as a novel. The game world is well-drawn, and the characters have lives of their own. The Lord of Souls should be a winner. Enjoy gamers, enjoy. ~~ Pam Allan
