Spectra
by Joanne Elder
Museitup Publishing, $15.00, 162pp
Release Date: June 27, 2011

Spectra appears to be a debut novel beginning a series.

A mining exploration group discovers intelligent life composed of pure energy. But the energy being created increased cognitive abilities, but at the cost of their lives.  The group is willing, except for two, to destroy the race for those powers. Only the two standing in their way can stop the slaughter and will sacrifice everything to end the slaughter.

Spectra is an interesting novel with a scientific base. The greedy versus the pure is not new. A second volume is due out May of 2012. The writer shows talent and I trust the next volume will show on-the-job training. ~~ Pam Allan
