Deirdre “Foxtrot” Lancaster, is the administrative assistant to billionaire Zelda Zoransky, as well as the Guardian of the Graveyard, a pet cemetery on ZZ’s property that is a crossroads, allowing dead pets to visit their dead human owners. Along with her telepathic companions - reincarnated cat, Tango, and dead, shapeshifting dog, Whiskey - Foxtrot is again deep in a paranormal murder mystery.
Our third excursion into Foxtrot’s world finds her trying to find out who killed her boyfriend Ben’s sister when Anna is found floating dead in the pool. Since both Anna and Ben are Thunderbirds with the ability to control the weather there is something decidedly suspicions about Anna dying of electrocution. Our suspects include the guests at ZZ’s latest salon - a Russian pet psychic, a schizophrenic writer, and a random rock star. We also have a side mystery concerning marbles placed on the graves of dead cats in the pet cemetery.
These are quick, satisfying reads with the humor, paranormal aspects and mystery all nicely balanced. I highly recommend this series. ~~ Stephanie L Bannon
