George Takei and family were imprisoned in an American internment camp during World War II in one of the most shameful episodes in US history. This graphic novel is his firsthand account of those years of his childhood.  It is heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time and is a must-read for all Americans lest we find ourselves repeating a shameful history. ~~ Stephanie L Bannon
