This early reader graphic novel series is aimed at ages 5 - 7 year-olds.
Synopsis:
Meet Kitana, a Shark Princess and the first of her kind. Her allergy-ridden best friend Mack wants to be one too, but he worries that his sharp teeth and big sneezes make him too dangerous to be a princess.
With Kitana's help, Mack realizes his unique shine. When Mack puts on his crown for the first time, these Shark Princesses are ready to explore the ocean and embark on a fintastic adventure!
Nidhi Chanani's signature artwork brings this underwater series to life in a spunky tale about friendship.
Several months back my grandaughters and I had a fun time reading "Shark Princess Shark Party!" and following along with Kitana and Mack as they went on an adventure to a shark party.
PJ, my youngest granddaughter, was interested in knowing more about their back stories, so I was tickled when we were given the origin story and was able to sit down with her to take turns reading how Kitana and Mack became Shark Princesses.
PJ very much loved reading their story and enjoyed the book greatly.
With the sometimes silly and engaging illustrations, the author shares a touching story about friendship and believing in oneself as well as redefining who and what a princess can be. ~~ Dee Astell with input from Paisley “PJ” Hernandez
