Joseph Gaxiola

Joseph Gaxiola is a native to Arizona (which is rare). Joseph was born in the little mining town called Morenci, which is a copper mining town up in the mountains of eastern Arizona. Joseph and his family moved to Phoenix in the late 1970’s. Then Joseph moved to San Diego in 1991 and lived there until 2005 when he moved back to Phoenix.

Joseph has been involved with fandom since 1997 when he would go to San Diego Comic Con with a group of friends. Joseph became involved with Arizona fandom in 2010. First as an attendee with his husband, Edward Pulley who was a moderator for Phoenix Comic Con, then as a personal assistant to sci-fi author, Gini Koch. Joseph has worked with Gini Koch since 2012. In 2019, Joseph, became part of Madame Askew’s Temporal Entourage as the Minister of Time and Tranquility.

Joseph was the Guest Liaison and ran publicity for Leprecon 45.

Since CoKoCon’s incarnation Joseph has been the Guest Liaison and runs publicity for each convention.

Joseph is the Chairman of the Board for Joshua Tree Feeding Program, which is a non-profit, all volunteer food pantry for the HIV/AIDS Community for Maricopa and Pinal Counties.

Joseph’s alter ego, JaGi, has been raising money and performing around Southwestern United States since 1996.

Joseph is also a member of American Coaster Enthusiasts, The International Imperial Court System, Phoenix AIDS Candle Vigil committee, and the Gay and Lesbian Association of darts.
