Firestorm
by Taylor Anderson
Roc, $25.95, 422 pp
Release Date: October 4, 2011
Firestorm is the latest of the Destroyermen series

It is an alternate universe added to World War II. The Allies and the Empire of New Britain stand against the attacks of the savage Grik. Now, the enemy has been joined by the Holy Dominion of God, a warped mixture of human culture and a lust for power even greater than the Grik.

As open war rages across half the known world, more Japanese ships cross the space time continuum bringing a new kind of ship - one that does not adhere to any rules of war. The Lt. Commander must face battles on two fronts with a firestorm of loyalty and betrayal.

Taylor Anderson’s work shows influences by David Weber, in plotting, world-building and military action. If you are hooked on Weber, you will enjoy having Taylor as a well-written back up and you'll love the 'Cats, an ally that are the best felines since Andre Norton. Enjoy..and if you haven't before, you may want to collect. ~~ Pam Allan
