Both feel a powerful attraction to each other, and eventually that mutual attraction proves stronger than all their reservations.

A renegade angel, Aelziroth, is determined to destroy Cassie, but he intends to have as much diabolical fun doing so as he can contrive. Utterly ruthless, and with a perversely logical perspective, Aelziroth and his human puppets cut a swath of destruction, always with Cassie in their sights. It’s gratifying that some of the mortals hold their own in the angel versus human struggles.
