Astronomicon Minorem - Book of Devouring Stars
Author: Khurt Khave
CreateSpace, $11.62, 164pp
Published: August 2015

Khurt Khave, head priest of the First United Church of Cthulhu, provides church doctrine of the Great Old Ones and describes how you can open the astral gates and contact these otherworldly beings.

This book covers the ceremonies and holidays of the First United Church of Cthulhu, as well as giving you a glimpse into the mind of the man who founded the Church, Khurt Khave.

The story is an eclectic mix of dream and reality. It discusses the sacramental use of DMT (Dimethyltryptamine), for those who are interested in using it to commune with our Lord Cthulhu.

It talks about dreamscapes and H.P. Lovecraft and those who helped shape the wonderfully wicked world of the macabre.

It explores stories and poems by some of the greats and who borrowed ideas from whom. It is full of strange and fascinating pictures and illustrations to fill ones thoughts.

There are little gems of humor scattered hither and thither throughout the book that will bring a smile to your face when you least expect it.

This is not a traditional story but more of hand book for those followers of the faith, as well as being an interesting, informative read with snippets of poetry and stories behind the great minds of those who have traveled aether space to commune with the great ones.

Did I like this book? Yes, yes I did. Not only did I enjoy looking at the pictures but there was stories and information that I had never encountered before. If you are a fan of the Cthulhu methos, H.P. Lovecraft or a follower of the faith, then I'd recommend this book to you, and I'm not saying that just because I'm the Archpriestess of Chaos of the First United Church of Cthulhu. *Wink* ~~ Dee Astell
