Well, here’s our love birds, Kianthe and Reyna, the founding ladies of the tea shop New Leaf Tomes and Tea in the town of Tawney. They are finally getting married  and settling in with the neighbors and a clutch of baby dragons.

But because Kianthe is the Arcandorn, the mage of mages in this world, and Reyna is a no-nonsense defender, a member of the elite Queensguard, this is going to be quite an affair and everyone in Tawney is being invited. Oh, and the pirates too.

Chaos ensues: who’s doing the flowers, the cake, the decorations, the wedding finery, and where the wedding will actually take place. But that’s what makes it so much fun —every one putting their hand in. Even the nasty Queen Tiliane who Reyna used to defend becomes the real fly in the ointment here. Along with members of her court. Queen Tiliane needs to be replaced but boy she’s not going down without a vicious fight. And to add to the mess, Kianthe’s parents invite themselves to the wedding; making it very clear they don’t think Reyna is good enough for their dear Kianthe.

Poor Kianthe and Reyna are not having an easy time of it; but the end is full of all kinds of shenanigans. This is a sweet and interesting tale. With a surprising end. And there’s one more book to follow. ~~ Sue Martin
