An elderly woman is found dead in her chair, not too unusual in a nursing home but even so, her death was unexpected and more than that, she is not the first of her group of five friends to die unexpectedly. DC Smith gets the case a month after the death and now must determine if it is suicide, assisted suicide or plain murder.

Like the first book the action moves slowly, we mostly see the story through DC Smith’s thoughts.  This book and this series should be a TV Police Show. It reads like a script for a show. Some parts are slow, but do fill in some of the feel for the book. All-in-All a pretty good read. I would say that reading the first book in the series An Accidental Death would help a lot. ~~ CLD
