INFORMATION DESK


Needs:

Computer and email access
Organizational skills
Communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines
People skills
Patience
Time Needed Pre-Con - 1-2 hours weekly
Time Needed At-Con - 4-8 hours daily


OVERALL JOB DESCRIPTION

Information Desk exists to provide information to the attendees at con. Information can range from the closest grocery store to where something is on site.


PRE-CON

Explores area around venue to find closest eating establishments, grocery store, pharmacy, ER, emergency vet, etc
Creates list of these places
Gets sightseeing info for local area
Contacts local eating places and asks for menus for info desk
Creates large site map with all locations indicated


AT-CON

Mans desk during most of day - approximately 9AM to 9PM
Answers questions on local sites, local stores, programming, location of convention events


POST-CON

Turns over all info acquired for info desk
