STAFF LOUNGE

Needs:

Computer and Internet Access
Organizational Skills
People Skills
Patience
Money handling skills
Food handling skills
A staff of at least 15 people
Time Needed Pre-Con - 1-4 hours weekly
Time Needed At-Con - Full time

OVERALL JOB DESCRIPTION

Staff Lounge is responsible for feeding the staff, dealers, guests and program participants “real” food.

PRE-CON

Finds out about staff, program participant and guest food allergies
Creates menu
Buys food
Cooks
Moves all food to convention venue

AT-CON

Staff Lounge set up on Wednesday pre-con in order to be up and running when staff arrives for Thursday set-up
Transports all food and equipment to convention site.
First meal is lunch Thursday
Stays open around the clock from opening on Thursday to closing late on Sunday night
Post menu with times
Post prep-schedule in prep area for staff/volunteer use
Keep room clean
Be pleasant
Change out food often so it looks nice, doesn't spoil and make people sick
Clean and dry all equipment prior to packing on Sunday night
Distribute all opened food items to staff and attendees
Staff Lounge leaves site on Monday

POST-CON

Return all unopened food for refund or donate to other conventions if not returnable
